Our Story

Balanced Living Coaching was founded from a deep desire to bridge the gap between healthcare

and fitness and to help people move, live and feel better without pain, confusion or frustration.

 

With over five years of experience in the fitness and wellness space, Coach Luis has worked with clients across all walks of life, but the most impactful chapter of his journey came while supporting older adults transitioning out of physical therapy. He saw how much someone's past activity levels influenced their mobility, independence, and overall well-being later in life.

 

That experience led to a powerful realization:

How can we help adults understand the importance of staying active before it's too late?

 

That question became the foundation of Balanced Living Coaching and our mission to empower frustrated individuals to ignite a well-balanced life​​

Raised in the Bay Area, Luis brings over seven years of experience coaching general and geriatric populations with a mission to help people move better, feel stronger, and live more balanced lives — physically, mentally, and emotionally.​

As an Active Life Professional, Luis is dedicated to deepening his ability to support individuals navigating chronic pain, movement limitations, or past injuries. His coaching style blends compassion, connection, and evidence-based movement to create sustainable, empowering results, especially for those who may feel overlooked in traditional fitness spaces.

​

As someone who has seen the toll that chronic pain, aging, and everyday stress can have on the body and mind, Luis is passionate about helping clients rebuild trust in their bodies and find strength without the pressure of “no pain, no gain” culture.

​

Through personal training, pain-informed coaching, and community offerings, like the Mindful Miles Hiking Club, Luis creates inclusive spaces where people of all backgrounds can move intentionally, rebuild trust in their bodies, and improve quality of life at every age.

When Luis is not coaching, you’ll likely find him enjoying the outdoors, experimenting with recovery techniques, or building meaningful connections over coffee.
